If you’re worried about a young person’s safety or need support as a parent or carer, you’ve come to the right place. Whether you need to report a concern, seek advice on keeping children safe, or find guidance on tough conversations, the resources listed below can help.
For urgent safety concerns, contact social care or the police. For advice, several trusted organisations provide support for both young people and parents. From mental health resources to tips on online safety, we’ve gathered key links to help you navigate these challenges. Remember, you’re not alone, and there’s always someone you can reach out to.

If you think that a child may be experiencing neglect or abuse phone 020 7527 7400 at any time.
You can also complete the request for service form, providing as much detail as you have.
Barnet
Call social care: Worried about the safety of a child - Barnet Council
- If you feel you have urgent welfare concerns about children or young people that require and immediate response, phone the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) on 020 8359 4066. The MASH team are available Monday to Thursday 9am to 5.15pm and Friday 9am to 5pm.
- Outside these hours you should report any concerns that need an immediate response to our emergency duty team on 020 8359 2000.
- If you are worried that a child may be suffering, or may be at risk of harm, you should complete a safeguarding concern referral.
Enfield

Anyone who is worried about a child living in Enfield can contact children’s social care services by making a referral.
If you have a safeguarding concern that cannot wait for completion of a referral form you should call the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) on 0208 379 5555.
For emergencies that occur outside of normal office hours contact the emergency duty team on 0208 379 1000.
Haringey

If you have concerns for a child or young person’s welfare and believe that they may require some help or additional support, please use the numbers below to contact staff for advice:

Calls to the emergency duty team will be logged by a call centre. An emergency duty social worker will ring you back.
If you are a professional or volunteer working with children this is a dedicated advice line for professional consultations and urgent safeguarding referrals:

Please ensure that you follow up any telephone contact with a written referral via the online portal within 24 hours.
Live outside of North Central London?
