Equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) statement

Published: 25/04/23

At NCL Waiting Room, the promotion and upholding of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) is our commitment. Kindness, respect, dignity, and fairness are values that we believe everyone should be treated with, irrespective of their background, identity, or beliefs.

Discrimination and inequity are not acceptable in society, and we acknowledge the importance of actively addressing and challenging any form of prejudice or bias. Our goal is to create an environment that is welcoming, inclusive, and safe for all individuals.

EDI is integrated into every aspect of our work. We aim to build a diverse culture where people from different backgrounds feel valued and appreciated. A diverse and inclusive workplace fosters creativity, innovation, and better decision-making, which is why we strive to promote it.

We refuse to tolerate any form of prejudice or bias in our team or services, and we are dedicated to eliminating discrimination, harassment, and victimisation. We are committed to providing equal opportunities to everyone, irrespective of their race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability, religion, or any other characteristic protected by law.

Ongoing education, training, and self-reflection are essential to promote EDI, and we acknowledge this fact. We regularly review our policies and procedures to ensure that they align with our commitment to EDI. Feedback from our employees, customers, and stakeholders helps us improve our practices and create a welcoming environment for all.
