Description
Targeted Youth Support (TYS) Youth Counselling is a service provided by Youth Counselling, Substance Misuse and Alcohol Service (YCSMAS), who provides opportunities for young people to access a free, confidential, and holistic approach to social, emotional, and physical wellbeing.
The Youth Counselling team works in trauma informed, creative and solution focused way and offers young people 6 to 8 weekly counselling sessions of integrative talking therapy (extended up to 12 sessions for complex needs). TYS Youth Counselling also provides Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) support.
- Who is the service for?
Young people aged 12 to 21 years old who live, work or study in Islington.
Young people aged 10 to 18 years old and registered with an Islington GP - Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) pathway.
- How do I refer?
We accept self-referrals and referrals where the young person has given consent from families, concerned others and professionals - contact YCSMAS via our email or telephone.
Please note that we can only accept a referral where the young person has given their consent to seen by us.
