Description
Haringey Youth Justice Service are a multi-agency service made up of
The aims and objectives of the service are to:
prevent offending and re-offending for children and young people aged between 10 and 17 years.
encourage and inspire children and young people to help them maximise their potential and become responsible members of the community
ensure we have a child-first approach, which means we are putting children and young people at the heart of what we do to ensure they have the right support and influence our service delivery and decision making.

- Haringey YJS Wellbeing Team
At Haringey Youth Justice Service, we hold the emotional and physical wellbeing of our service users in high regard. Therefore, we want to guarantee that they receive a holistic health offer when accessing our service via our in-house Wellbeing Team.
Children and young people open the YJS will be able to access:
- School Nurses – ensuring physical wellbeing
- CAMHS – in-house child and adolescent mental health service nurse to support healthy emotional wellbeing
- Speech and Language Therapy – in-house speech and language therapist, ensuing support of communication needs are screened and assessed for all children and young people
- Insight Platform – Substance use/ misuse support, providing both treatment and education/harm reduction
- Liaison & Diversion – First point of contact emotional wellbeing support based in police custody suites.
