Description
Mindout works to improve the mental health and wellbeing of all LGBTQ communities and to make mental health a community concern.
The online support service offers:
- Emotional and listening support without judgement and unwanted advice or opinions
- Information and signposting in the right direction
- Help you to think about ways to stay safe and develop coping strategies
- General conversation about whatever is on your mind
- Information and access to other MindOut services
- Space to talk through choices and decisions
- Space to reflect and to problem solve
- Contact with LGBTQ people to help you feel less alone or isolated
- An opportunity to share opinions and talk about issues and events that are important to you
Mindout has a nationwide online support service but also has additional support for LGBTQ people aged 18+ who are based in Brighton and Hove. https://mindout.org.uk/get-support/
Mindout services are also available to those who may not identify under the LGBTQ umbrella, including straight people who have sexual and/or romantic relationships with LGBTQ people, men who have sex with men, women who have sex with women, people who previously identified as LGBTQ and those who are questioning their sexual and/or gender identities.
