Description

A woman on the phone

Professionals are invited to use our new Wellbeing Advisory Service, where you can speak to a member of our team about the wellbeing options on Waiting Room and how to use them in your work.

You can use your appointment with our Website Manager to discuss:

  • How to find the best local wellbeing options for the families you work with
  • How to register for a professional account and build a tailored plan for young people, families or yourself
  • How to save and share resources with the families and colleagues you work with

Care navigation and NCL Waiting Room

Our Wellbeing Advisory Service draws upon Health Education England (HEE)’s Care Navigation Competency Framework

According to this framework, care navigation’s key elements are:

  • Effective Communication: Care navigators must possess strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients, carers and healthcare professionals.
  • Person-Centered Care: Emphasising the importance of understanding and respecting the individual needs and preferences of patients.
  • Coordination and Integration: Facilitating smooth transitions and coordination between different services and providers.
  • Information Management: Navigators need to manage and use information effectively, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.

Integrating these core elements of care navigation, our Wellbeing Advisory Service offers advice to professionals on understanding the local wellbeing support available on Waiting Room.
