Description
“Understanding your child’s behaviour” are group sessions for parents with children from 6 months to 5 years old.
- The group runs over 10 weeks (with a break between school half-terms).
- The sessions are 2 hours and will be held in a welcoming environment and confidential space. Refreshments will be provided.
- The group will support you in building positive relationships, early years support, and understanding of brain development to help raise kind, emotionally aware children as they grow.
- You will have to attend all 10 sessions to support you to have a better understanding of your child/ren.
- During the 10 weeks you will have regular contact with your group facilitators to support you in each session.
- Our approach will support you around relationships and gaining an understanding of brain development as it relates to behaviour, communication, and emotional health.

Week 3: Tuning in to your child’s. developmental needs.
Week 4: Responding to your child’s feelings.
Week 5: Different styles of parenting.

Week 7: The rhythm of interaction and sleep.
Week 8: Self-regulation and anger
Week 9: Communication and attachment – how to recover when things go wrong.
